The name Xipi Totec is believed to be from a Mexican goddess of creativity and seemed to be a good choice for somebody about to create Teddy Bears for sale. Website updated on 23rd March 2018.

Pauline Collison

Pauline was born an asthmatic and during her childhood had to be protected from household dust where possible as this was conducive to the illness.  As a result of this and the fact that most cuddly toys at that time could not be washed, her mother was forced to make the decision to ban her from having a Teddy Bear.  Although she still suffers from asthma, being older it is easier to take steps to reduce the chance of an attack so such extreme measures are no longer necessary.  Consequently her husband purchased a Teddy Bear for her from Asquiths as a valentine present in 1990 and thus started her collection.  In an attempt to get an unusual present for her birthday in 1996 her husband took her to Oakley Fabrics to choose a pattern and fabric to make a bear to add to her collection.  This bear was named Kit as this was how he arrived and Pauline enjoyed making him to such an extent that she decided to make them for sale.

Pauline hopes you enjoy looking at her bears and if one of those bears gives you that special look please enquire on how you can adopt him or her, by filling out the form on the contact page or Pauline's email address is or telephone 01252 373708 she would love to hear from you. Please note that Pauline's bears are not toys and are not suitable for children under the age of 14 years.

Ordering.  Payment for bears can be made by cheque, postal order or cash. As the cost of postage varies with each bear please enquire as to the cost, I send my bears recorded delivery so that they are guaranteed to arrive safe and sound.

In June 2017  I had the immense honour of being asked if I would sell my bears to Hamleys, Regent Street, London.  In October my first order was completed and my husband and I hand delivered them.  To my amazement a couple of weeks later I had a phone call to say that all my bears had been adopted and could I supply more!!  If you ever find yourself in London and just so happen to be walking along Regent Street please pop into Hamleys and see if my bears are behaving themselves.
